The run to the Final Four by the football team delayed the start of the season by almost three weeks, since seven seniors starred on both teams. The 100th season was celebrated at Arrow Arena by the Willard game and two Alumni contests on Nov. 24th. The memorable season was capped by the upset of Mansfield Senior ending their 50-game home win streak and the Arrows ten consecutive win ending in the District Finals. Taylor Housewright was the MVP and first-team OCC with 299 pts, 39 treys, and 132 rebounds. The other team awards were Mr. Coach: Logan Kerr (167 pts and 107 assists) and Anthony Fairhurst (169 pts), Mr. Defense: Nick Helms and Tyler McFarlin (174 pts), Mr. Practice: Gregg Berkshire (221 pts and 1st team OCC), and Mr. Consistency: Jed Roepke (159 pts). Coach Lavengood’s senior-laden squad beat the OCC co-champs Lexington and Mansfield Senior (twice) and won the Sectional title.
