The Sectional champs, the District champs, the first Sweet Sixteen team at Ashland since 1947. Their 19-wins was the most since 1964 and only two teams have more in Ashland history. They beat the 6th ranked Toledo St. Johns and Canton McKinley with the most all-time basketball-wins in Ohio history. The three senior MVPs were Matt Hess, Jerome Anderson, and Matt Schlingman. Hess was the Player of the Year in the OHC and the District, and the first four-year letterman since Max Messner in 1956. He scored 324 points. Anderson with 159 assists surpassed the -career mark for an all-time total of 447. Schlingman, a three-year letterman, had 280 points. Mark Hess, first-team OHC, had 174 rebounds and the team high 342 points. Casey Cooke and Danny Krispinski earned their second letters.
