Five senior starters opened the season with six wins, then struggled with consistency as Coach Valentine called it. However, they upset the undefeated and State ranked Elyria Pioneers, when Bob Lee had a 32-point night at McDowell Auditorium. Co-Captains Jim Diffendorfer (301 pts) and Jon Miller (288 pts) performed as expected, but the surprise of the season was Bob Lee. He led the team with 346 points and the best shooting percentage (44%) among the regulars. Mike Lindsey (171 pts) and Bob Edwards (89 pts) filled out the starting line up. Dave Wait (108 pts) was the top underclassman. The season ended with a two-point tournament loss to Mansfield again.
