It was the highest scoring team in AHS history. They burned the nets for an average of 76.4 points- per-game and had seven games in the 80’s, once in the 90’s and 104 (3rd highest all-time) against New Philly. Every starter averaged in double figures: Dave Wait (448 pts & 22.4 ppg), Ken Oxenrider (272 pts & 13.6 ppg), Gay Meininger (254 Pts & 13.2 ppg), Bob Sweet (222 pts & 11.1 ppg) and Dick Hunter (218 pts & 10.9 ppg). Although the Orange and Black cagers had beaten Mansfield twice in the regular season, Vern Hoffman’s Tygers with a losing record upset the Arrows for another disheartening tournament loss. Dave Wait ended his career with 931-points fourth on the all-time list.
