Another season with no coach, no home court, and just three games. However, a milestone was achieved, when they played the first away game in AHS basketball history. They scored a victory over Galion at the Galion roller rink. The new YMCA gym was not available to AHS because the Y had their own program with 215 boys as members. Most played in the local “House League,” and the best players played on the “association” undefeated traveling team in the Central Ohio League. Eben Tallentire was the captain of that team, but Paul “Spitz” Ganyard and Gordon Sites were the only starters on all three teams. The high school was the least prestigious of the three teams. |
