no season 1914-15

It was the year that AHS had no basketball teams. However, a new high school was under construction on Cottage Street with a new gym on the basement floor next to Fourth St. It has historically been referred to as the “Girls’ Gym.” Meanwhile the YMCA continued their four-team City League for high school boys. The potential high school team played as an independent team called the “Tigers.” They played a schedule against area opponents from Polk, Lodi, Shreve, and Wooster. The line up was: Harold Stockwell (12th), Russell Sonners (12th), Clarence Miller (10th), Don Smith (11th), and Henry. The subs were: Marshall Mohn, Wayne McDowell, and Paul Dessenberg.
