The 11-man squad had all but one player from off the Football team, which had the least successful season of the first seven years. However, their basket ball record was the most successful of their first seven seasons. They had ten wins and twice scored 70-points. Still playing with the Red and White colors Coach Richards had the ambition of entering the Ohio Wesleyan State Tournament. But, when they lost Russell Sonners, center and top scorer, to a season ending sickness, Coach Richards dropped the dream of playing at Delaware. The outstanding career of Luther Frentz came to a close, and the AHS basketball program would take a one-year hiatus until the new gym would open in 1915.
