Clarence Cook, the Captain and only returning letterman, played just two games because of a leg injury from Football season. Leo Grimes (100 pts) and replacement Capt. Howard Grindle (69 pts) led the in-experienced team in scoring. In the final game the A’s again denied Mansfield an NCO title with a 29-15 upset. The game was played at the Casino Park Coliseum before 2,500 spectators, which was the largest crowd in the 26-year history of the North Central Ohio League. |
