The A’s lost their top two players, Johnny Matthews and Robert Rybolt, to mid-year graduations. Nevertheless, they still won an NCO co-championship with Galion, whose coach was Fred McClintock, a 1921 Ashland graduate. Earl Thomas (107 pts) and Lawrence McMillen (106 pts) led the team in scoring. Both were named to the All-NCO team Thomas, 2nd team, and McMillen, 1st team along with “Nick” Dolby on the 1st team.
